Response to chapter 11.

One traditional technology that is used in audio technology are the Audiocassettes.  Students can record and play back reports, stories, and lectures that they can later listen to and go over. One emerging technology used in audio technology is Internet radio.  Internet radio can be used to listen to a variety of programming such as music, sports, science, and local, national, and world wide news.  This can be used as a great resource to help with projects.

One traditional technology that is used in visual technology is the Overhead projector.  These can be used so that children and see and copy down notes and I lecture and elaborate on them.  One emerging technology that is used in visual technology are Live cams. Live cams can be helpful if a student was for instance doing a project on penguins, the student could watch penguins live cam from the New York City Zoo.

Response to chapter 6 question.

After reading chapter 6 I feel that I would rather teach in a classroom that had more digital technologies because there are so many way to expand their capabilities by adding digital peripherals.  There are so many ways I could incorporate things that I'm trying to teach into fun technology based lessons. By using more technology in the classroom, I could not only teach my kids what is on my lesson plans, but they can also be learning about the different technologies we use and how to operate them.  It would be like two lessons in one, which would only benefit the children in the future. Because of all the endless amazing software that is out there to help teach kids I would prefer to teach in a classroom that had more digital technologies.
